Kenya Matters began as a small group in the US envisioning an ongoing friendship with native Kenyans, together caring for local orphan children in Karai, Kenya. It continues to expand as a network of approximately a hundred unique individuals who find themselves compelled to join this partnership. The majority of these supporters are in the West Michigan area, but we also have several dozen supporters outside of this region.
Over the past year, a small handful of churches have begun to partner with us. For this we are grateful. One of these communities is in Northern Michigan near Big Star Lake, and another is in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and several are in the West Michigan area.
In the region of Karai, we have begun to find favor with a small handful of local business people. These native Kenyans have also begun to support the children’s group home, and we look forward to these relationships growing and increasing.
We encourage you to considering partnering with us as well. We continue to seek people who will write our friends, support them financially and pray for them daily. Please consider getting involved!
