January 10, 2011 – from Kenya

It’s time to bring this trip to a close.  Packing, final gifts to our friends here, and a prayer for safe travels will all be part of today.  Saying goodbye is always difficult here.  Our skin colors are so different, but these people have a passion for the marginalized, the ‘least of these,’ the orphan children in their community that is second to none.  That phrase is used often, but this is not some big non-profit outfit where people are paid good salaries to work a big week.  This is LIFE for our staff on the ground here in Karai, Kenya.

If you want to get involved with a non-profit in a far-away land that is making a long term difference in this community, get involved with us.  Currently, 95% or more of your monies are making it to direct support of these orphan kids.  We are in need of more people to really engage with us.  We need prayer warriors, financial supporters, and people who want their lives to mean more than fulfilling their own hopes and dreams… and making hopes and dreams a reality for kids who are orphaned and in need of love.

God’s blessings to you today!
